Honors College Alumna Named Humanity in Action Fellowship Finalist. Georgia State University alumna Danielle Grevious has been named a finalist for the Humanity in Action Fellowship. With passions for human rights and social justice, Humanity in Action Fellows hail from all over the world to explore national histories of discrimination and resistance, as well as examples of issues affecting different minority groups today. Grevious, a Netzel Scholar, graduated from Georgia State in December 2. During her time at Georgia State, Grevious worked closely with the Centro de Investigaciones Regionales de Mesoam. She also conducted research on international relations in African and South America with the Ronald E. Grevious also held internships with the Latin American Association and in the office of Congressman John Lewis in Washington, D. C. After graduation, Grevious began working with Culture Connect where she recruits mentors for the Go- Betweener Mentoring Program by making community connections, attending and hosting recruitment and networking events, and offering support to mentors. She hopes to help improve the lives of the immigrant and refugee population in Georgia. Ultimately, Grevious wants to pursue her Ph. D. I thrive off of learning more about the social and cultural issues that affect people all over the world, so this potential opportunity to travel to Europe to study human rights issues there is amazing. She helped to prepare me for my interview and has consistently motivated me in any direction that I am going. Further, the Honors College played a huge part in my personal and academic growth. It began with mentorship, funding, and support while I was a Georgia State student, and continued through an enduring interest in offering support in any way they could after I graduated.
